An archetypal English village(visited the area)

Perhaps best known for its golf course, Walton Heath, which was home to the Ryder Cup in the eighties, Walton on the Hill is a small village located in Surrey in the south east of England. Situated just inside the M25 between Reigate and Epsom, this adorable little town is nestled amongst other villages such as Tadworth, Kingswood, Burgh Heath, Headley and Box Hill. Not to be confused with Walton on Thames, which lies about 15 miles away, Walton on the Hill is an archetypal English village home to a large pond, a village green, a small primary school, a number of local shops and four pubs. It is most suited to retirees and young families, although the village centre has seen recent development of blocks of flats which would suit couples and singles. Housing in the area ranges from new to old and large to small with many smaller Victorian houses sitting within the village and a number of large detached homes situated along private roads. Walton on the Hill is also home to the British Transport Police training centre and dog training school.
