A great place to get away from the city (has lived here)

Windsor Crescent is on the edge of the village of Elderslie, approx 25 mins drive from Glasgow city centre. A cul-de-sac, situated off two other cul-de-sacs, it's about as quiet as streets get.

The neighbours are friendly, although most tend to keep to themselves - there isn't a great social scene - but if you're after peace & quiet this is the place to be. Every house has a driveway, so there's no problem with parking.

Access to walking and cycling paths is excellent. The Brandy Burn Way footpath runs parallel to Windsor Crescent, providing continuous off-road access all the way to the Glennifer Braes.

The only occasional noise comes from planes landing at Glasgow Airport. We're almost a mile off the flight path, though, so it's not too bad.
