Diverse town in north London (visited the area)

Based in the northern part of London, Stamford Hill is a popular location among the Jewish community. It is a diverse town sitting between Finsbury Park, Manor House, Tottenham, Upper Clapton and Stoke Newington and has decent transport links into central London. For commuters living here, Stamford Hill is home to a mainline train station based in zone 3 that connects it to Hackney and Bethnal Green in zone 2, and Liverpool Street train and tube stations in zone 1. Perhaps an accurate reflection of the area is the housing stock in Stamford Hill. While most of it dates back to the mid-Victorian period and would have originally comprised two and three-storey mid-terraced houses, these days those properties have predominantly been converted into flats to accommodate young couples and single professionals commuting into London for work. There are also a number of new developments springing up on previously derelict sites which are now popular among 20 and 30-somethings. The area is home to various schools, restaurants, clubs, bars and supermarkets, as well as estate agencies, a library, hotels and High Street shops.
