Depending on what magazines you read, Shoreditch has been one of the major centres of young London in recent years and there is no doubt that it’s become one of the major bohemian hangouts in London in the past five years. Even though there has been a push towards regeneration, Shoreditch High Street still has a few strip bars and these remain a great way to spend an evening in, just remember to have a full wallet when you come along!

It’s a bit of a jaunt along to Liverpool Street Station but its still easy enough to get there which makes Shoreditch fairly accessible wherever you are. There is supposedly a new overground station opening in 2010 which will make it even easier to spend time in Shoreditch High Street.
