One of the better streets in Camelon(has lived here)

Neighbourly Spirit: Neighbours are pleasant. People usually mind their own business. The street is small enough that you recognise most of your neighbours and get a friendly "hello" when you pass neighbours in the street or in your close. Summer brings neighbours together as the communal back garden (on my side anyway) is ideal for barbecues, sunbathing, the kids/dogs playing.

Eating Out: La Picardie, the Yang Sing, the Beefeater, the Coppertop, Lasani, and the Wheelhouse are all nearby. Lots of take-aways too. Currently, there is the Lucky Ho, Indianos, the Village Tandoori, Original Chillies, Lemetti's, Four in One all pretty close by.

Nightlife: Not many hotspots nearby, closest pubs are the Roman Bar or the Mariner Bar. The bar in GX Superbowl used to be nice but that shut down. The Yang Sing Chinese Buffet place has a karaoke lounge which can be fun

Retail Therapy: No shops apart from newsagents and grocery stores. There is a nice little gift shop called Acorn on the Main Street though.

Health & Fitness: Mariner Centre just across the road which has a leisure pool, gym, squash courts, sauna & team room and more. Camelon Indoor Bowling Club is also across the road and the Jubilee Snooker Club is just along the road. Carmuirs Golf Club & Camelon Juniors Football Club both nearby, running track opposite Carmuirs Golf Club and Xtreme Karting a short distance away.

Access to public transport is excellent. There are numerous bus services that pass through Camelon including the Stirling bus, the Circular, the Glasgow bus, the Denny Bus and the Dunipace bus. Glasgow, Denny & Dunipace buses stop just at the bottom of Hamilton Street.

There are a couple of pharmaices, a couple of dentists and a doctor's surgery all within 5 minutes walking distance of the street.

If you like nature, the Forth & Clyde and Union Canals provide great routes for walking or cycling and they are both nearby, but you don't really have to look any further than the back garden to see some great antics of the local garden birds.

The rent rates are very reasonable, the only thing is I wouldn't recommend this street for young families as I think the flats are a bit on the small side, otherwise, no complaints.

All in all, a very convenient street in Camelon to live in with just the right balance of privacy, peace and quiet, and neighbourliness.
